The day after
We spent yesterday seeing visitors and changing Eliab and working on feeding him. Who would have known that it was such a big ordeal? Please understand that when I go back to work, I will not be updating this; you'll have to encourage Sarah to do it. This is a man's perspective, so cut me some slack for being uneducated in the ways of maternal nature. Just so you know, Sarah hasn't changed a diaper yet. We are waiting for one more appointment, and then we are hoping to check out and go home. It will be nice to sleep in my own bed and all that jazz. I wonder what the pets will think? Here is the room that my boy gets to sleep in.

Cake at 8pm. Come eat cake!!!!!!!!
We now have a 7lb 5oz boy. He is 20.5" long. Lots of hair. Sarah went all natural and pushed for 13 minutes. She is doing great, Eliab is doing great and is beautiful. He is sleeping at the moment. The nurse was great. The whole experience was pretty amazing. We have been praying for a healthy boy for 9 months, and we have one. Now if we can just be godly, loving parents.

Eliab and Cake Part 2
Eliab is his name, assuming he is still a boy, and Sarah brought a cake. Today will be his birthday we hope, he will be turning 0. Happy Birthday boy. We have now transitioned to radio silence in the room. Will keep you updated.
What is Eliab and Cake?
Well. I am sitting here watching Sarah roll on her Birthing Ball and tell me to be quiet every few minutes. The nurse keeps scurrying in and out like a professional interrogator. She asks questions while Sarah suffers, and I am suprised she doesn't start to extract confessions for things she hasn't been involved in. What kind of sick people tell you when you first get here, "I want to make you feel uncomfortable?" When Sarah asked if the Nurse would turn "down" the pitocin, it was a firm NO. How unique, bizarre, curious. I will never experience anything like this. Why? Because my curse if of a different nature entirely. At the end of this trip, we will Lord willing, have a squalling, pooping, eating, sleeping, ball of wonder.
